Find the decision inside the noise.
I look for the tension that gives the work a center: what is changing, what is at risk, who must decide, and which uncertainty is preventing movement.
Separate the visible request from the underlying decision.
Map who owns the choice and who holds part of the evidence.
Make assumptions, constraints, and success conditions explicit.
